Concentration
What is Concentration?
Concentration defines the abundance of a specific constituent divided by the total volume of a mixture. It is the core metric for tracking the purity, toxicity, and chemical makeup of a process stream.
Concentration conversions are strictly required for:
- Chemical Dosing: Sizing injection skids for corrosion inhibitors, biocides, and demulsifiers.
- Water Treatment: Tracking effluent purity and dissolved oxygen in parts per million (ppm).
- Reaction Kinetics: Determining molarity for catalyst design.
Convert rapidly between industrial scale kg/m³ and laboratory scale units like grams per liter (g/L) and milligrams per liter (mg/L).
